Elkton Woman And Child Injured In Crash

An Elkton woman and child were injured in a head-on collision on South Main Street in Elkton Monday night.

Elkton Police say 17-year-old Makyla Artis of Elkton was northbound on South Main Street near United Southern Bank when she swerved to miss something in the roadway and hit a southbound car driven by 50-year-old Kenneth Clayton of Guthrie.

Artis’s passengers 40-year-old Martina Quarles and a 1-year-old child were taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for non-life-threatening injuries.

Clayton was injured in the wreck but refused medical attention.
