Progress Being Made On New Ag Expo Center

Despite the rainy weather the last couple of months, construction has continued on the new ag expo center being built behind the Christian County Extension Office on Pembroke Road.

Agent Jay Stone gave an update on the project at the Christian County Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday morning. He says crews have continued to work despite the wet conditions.

He notes they had some slight changes in the design of the building, which has delayed delivery.

Local officials and members of the agriculture community gathered in September 2019 to break ground on the estimated $1.8 million expo center, which is expected to be completed by early summer.
