The 101st Airborne Division Band’s Brass Quintet delighted students of Heritage Christian Academy Tuesday morning with a performance of Disney favorites.
Staff Sergeant Stephen Hann says band members are full-time soldiers as well as full-time musicians. He explains they have several main functions, including upholding traditions within the military.
HCA Music teacher Heather Hensley says she wanted the students to better understand the role of professional musicians.
She notes the performance demonstrated to students the effect music can have on us.
The band played a mix of classic songs and scores from Disney movies that Hensley says she knew students would enjoy.
The HCA Middle and High School Choir will host their Spring Concert at New Work Fellowship on April 28th at 6:30.
