Hopkinsville Man Charged With Using Fake Money To Pay For Gas

A Hopkinsville man was arrested Sunday afternoon on a warrant for theft after police say he used fake money to pay for gasoline in Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville Police say 48-year-old Raul Nieves was seen on camera using counterfeit $20 bills to pay for gas and cigarettes on two separate occasions.

Nieves is charged with possession of meth, tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking, two counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, and two counts of theft by deception.
