Planters Bank Presents Area Season Of Giving Donations

Planters Bank presented donations this week to area Season of Giving recipients.

The bank reports the program raised over $6,000 for organizations in Christian County. Season of Giving, which just finished its sixth year continues to show growth. To date, Planters Bank along with community supporters of the Season of Giving have donated well over $85,000 for area non-profit organizations.

South Main – Hopkinsville location raised $3,263.78 for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library
Ft. Campbell Blvd. – Hopkinsville location raised $1,526.76 for the United Way of the Pennyrile
Princeton location raised $1,516.08 for Feeding God’s Children
Canton Street – Hopkinsville location raised $1,262.74 for the Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile

Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy says they measure the success of the campaign both in how well they are able to spread awareness for the non-profits’ missions as well as the dollar amount they are able to contribute to help further their cause. She adds they continue to see community support grow for these organizations that do so much in our communities.

During the Season of Giving, the bank works with local companies to private label items. 100% of the purchase price from the sale of the items in each Planters Bank location go to the Season of Giving non-profit agency supported by that branch. Last year, Planters Bank has partnered with Barkley Hills Honey to offer Cinna-Spice Whipped Honey paired with Continental Mills’ Krusteaz Southern Cornbread for $10 for the seat. In addition, the bank will offer Shell-Bee’s Bourbon Smoked Garlic Sea Salt for $10 each.
