The superload that stopped near the Wallonia community last Friday afternoon will remain parked in Trigg County Wednesday.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says Miller Transfer & Rigging says the superload will not be moving because they are awaiting permits required to move into Tennessee.
According to Todd, the superload parked at Seven Springs Farms headquarters along KY 276/Blackhawk Road Friday after experiencing a problem when traveling about 50 miles from Crittenden County earlier in the day.
The 195 foot-long truck with a 19-axle trailer is being escorted by dozens of support vehicles. Todd notes due to the width and height of the load, crews are having to avoid highway overpasses.
He says the crew has been on the road for about 12 days after leaving near Cincinnati, Ohio and has about 7 or 8 more days on the road to reach their destination in Aberdeen, Mississippi.
When the superload resumes travel, Todd adds it will continue through Trigg County into Tennessee.
Todd says they will try to provide advance notice when the load is ready to leave Wallonia and resume travel into Tennessee.
