A lifelong Trigg County resident will become the new 4-H agent on March 1.
Extension Area Manager Matt Fulkerson tells the News Edge Shelly Crawford, of Cadiz will fill the position that has been vacant for over a year and a half.
Crawford says she grew up in the 4-H program.
Crawford adds in her current position she works with younger children.
She looks forward to hitting the ground running.
Crawford notes while the program reaches out to the youth of Trigg County, parents and volunteers are a big part of the program.
