New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville is going out of the box to serve the people of Christian County through a food drive in partnership with Aaron McNeil House that will benefit eight local agencies.
New Work Fellowship Equipping Pastor Janey Pitts tells the News Edge they chose Aaron McNeil House because of the historic impact they have on the community.
She says they chose the name “Out of the Box” because they are going out of the church building, or out of their box, to serve others.
Pitts notes they partnered with the Hopkinsville Walmarts to donate to multiple organizations in Hopkinsville and Christian County.
She estimates NWF has around 300 families in regular attendance to their services. Pitts says church members spent nearly $16,000 on merchandise.
In addition to Aaron McNeil House the donations also went to the Salvation Army, Grace and Mercy, Trilogy Center for Women, Challenge House #3, Micah Mission, Breaking Bread Community Church, and Christian County Schools Weekend Backpack Program.
