Hopkinsville YMCA Focuses On Future During Annual Meeting

   
The Hopkinsville Family YMCA leadership is ready to focus on the future in 2020 following the annual meeting held Thursday night.

New Chief Volunteer Officer Mack Major noted 2019 was a year to get their house in order, with a strategic plan to be developed this year.

Major took over as Chief Volunteer Officer following the passing of the gavel.

Meanwhile, past Chief Volunteer Officer Rich Maddux noted some of the accomplishments of 2019 during his annual report.

YMCA President and CEO Sheryl Ellis thanked the staff and board of directors for their support during her first year.

During the volunteer recognition Membership and Marketing Director Jason Strickland recognized the Gary Latham family for their contributions to the YMCA since their initial $500,000 donation during the startup campaign and their continued support over the years.  The honor was accepted on behalf of the Latham family by Darrell Gustafson, who was the co-chaired the startup campaign with Logan Askew.

Strickland presented the Coach of the Year Award to soccer coach Pat Riley.

 

Strickland presented the Volunteer of the Year Award to Diane Davis.

And he presented the first ever Hopkinsville YMCA Role Model Award to Kristin Lilly.
