First Ferrell’s Burger Raising Money For Public Library

HCCPL Executive Director DeeAnna Sova

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library and Ferrell’s Snappy Service have teamed up for a silent auction to bid on the first burger cooked at the restaurant.

The library’s Executive Director, DeeAnna Sova said they are partnering with Ferrell’s for the Burgers for Books Silent Auction. She noted the partnership came about when she was approached by Carolyn Ferrell who said she wanted to give back to the library.

Mrs. Ferrell stated she has been in education all her life, and she knows that books, reading, and knowledge are the answer to the success of a community. She added the library is the heart of any town, and she thought this opportunity was appropriate for the library for Valentine’s day.

Sova noted all the money raised will go back into the library, which will be used by the Hopkinsville Leadership Class for a project at the library.
