Lynch Not Ruling Out Interim Hopkinsville Mayor Post

Hopkinsville City Council member Wendell Lynch says he has not ruled out serving as interim Mayor if he is selected by fellow council members to replace Carter Hendricks. Lynch tells the News Edge he has really not made a decision either way, but will certainly not rule out the opportunity if it is presented to him.

Lynch was first appointed to Hopkinsville City Council in 2014. He was elected to three full terms on Hopkinsville City Council. Lynch said he decided not to seek a fourth full term because he feels he has served long enough.

Lynch currently serves as the Ward 6 city councilman. He serves on the Hopkinsville-Christian County Ambulance Service and the E-911 advisory Board.
