A man was charged after he reportedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend and stole her phone Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 38-year-old Marcus Jones choked and hit his ex-girlfriend then took her phone in the area of East 9th Street and South Campbell Street before fleeing the area.
Jones was located on Clay Street and charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
