A Hopkinsville apartment complex was damaged in an attic fire Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Department spokesman Captain Michael Pendleton told the News Edge at the scene no one was injured but due to the fire possibly being electrical the power has been shut off to the apartments and no one will be able to stay in them.
Pendleton said not much water was used to extinguish the fire that was contained to the attic.
Walnut Street will remain blocked in the area of East 18th Street and Central Avenue as firefighters investigate the fire.
The American Red Cross has been called to help 6 adults along with their pets who are displaced.
