A Hopkinsville woman was charged with assault after she reportedly hit a man with a ceramic bowl on Lewis Street Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 56-year-old Brenda Reed got into a fight with a man in the bedroom of the home and the man left the room and went to the couch to lay down.
Reed reportedly followed the man and used a ceramic bowl to hit him causing injuries to his face.
As police arrested Reed she allegedly resisted arrest and police had to remove her from the home.
Police say Reed was very intoxicated. She is charged with second-degree assault.
