Trigg County Farm Receiving USDA Grant

A Trigg County farm will receive nearly $50,000 to install a new solar array to help the farm save energy costs.

USDA Kentucky Rural Development Director Hilda Legg says Cundiff Farms in Trigg County will receive $49,999 Rural Energy for America grant program. The money will be used to help the farm install another solar array. The solar technology is expected to save the farm over $30,000 in energy costs per year.

The USDA Rural Development also awarded grants to Gross Farms in McLean County, Denton Farms in Barlow, Bryant Gross in McLean County and Jason Ralph Farms in Graves County.
