Elkton Men Charged With Trafficking Drugs After Traffic Violation

Two Elkton men were charged with trafficking meth, marijuana, and opiates after a traffic stop on US 68 in Todd County Friday morning.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputies say 28-year-old Robert Sargent was stopped for disregarding a stop sign and deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

After a search of the vehicle deputies reportedly located meth, marijuana hydrocodone pills, and a digital scale.

Sargent allegedly had psychedelic mushrooms and a handgun on him. Sargent was charged with trafficking meth, marijuana, and opiates.

A passenger in the vehicle 23-year-old Travis Goodin was also arrested and charged with trafficking meth and opiates.
