A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs after a shooting on Butler Road near the intersection of East 1st Street Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Douglas King was shot in the foot during an altercation at his home on Butler Road.
King was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
King was reportedly found to have marijuana and a handgun. He is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and have not released any information on possible suspects.
