Parks Commissioner Holland Retiring After Administration Change

Kentucky Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland says he plans to retire after the Beshear administration takes over next Tuesday.

Holland said he had already planned to retire as the Parks Commissioner post in 2020, but that will now happen quicker.

 

Holland says he is pleased with the accomplishments in the state parks system during the past four years.

 

As for retirement plans, Holland says he plans to return to doing what he enjoys.

 

Commissioner Donnie Holland was chosen to head up the Kentucky Parks Department four years ago. He oversaw more than $100 million in renovations at state parks through the “Refreshing the Finest” and Restoring the Finest Campaigns”.
