Donations were presented to a few Christian County organizations during a joint meeting of the Hopkinsville Rotary and Kiwanis clubs Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Rotarian Tab Brockman says the donations came from the United in Praise event that was held on February 23, 2019. Equal donations of $571.20 were given to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Imagination Library, Grace and Mercy, and the Pennyrile Children Advocacy Center.
Brockman adds the United in Praise event will be held in 2020.
The joint meeting Tuesday kicked off the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign. During the campaign, volunteers collect donations outside Kroger or Walmart locations to help community members in need.
