A Christian County man is among those that have been selected to be a part of the transition team for Secretary of State Elect Michael Adams.
Adams posted on Facebook Monday that Hopkinsville City Administrator Troy Body will be helping him get settled into office. Adams notes prior to working for the City of Hopkinsville, Body worked as an international development professional specializing in the areas of political parties’ development, governance and elections in various nations throughout Africa.
Body also served as the Commissioner for the Division of Culture and History in West Virginia, as press secretary and Executive Director for the Office of Minority Empowerment for Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher, and as executive director for recovery and disaster relief for the City of New Orleans.
Adams adds he promised to appoint a transition team with an array of perspectives. He notes the team he has chosen is diverse, politically, professionally, geographically, and otherwise.
