Some Trigg County organizations are teaming up to collect items to provide a good Thanksgiving meal to those who may not otherwise be able to afford to buy a turkey and all the fixings.
Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS) Trigg County Coordinator for Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Sandy Ebbinger says they have partnered with the Trigg County Family Resource Center for a food drive.

PACS RSVP Program Director Kathy Meredith says they are collecting Thanksgiving food items or monetary donations.

She says donations can be dropped off at designated locations in Cadiz through 4:00 Thursday afternoon, November 21st.

The number of families who are provided a Thanksgiving meal depends on the amount of food donated. In the last couple of years, Meredith notes the food drive has provided a meal for about eight to ten families.
