Grand Jury Indicts Gracey Man On Sex-Related Crimes

A Gracey man arrested in September on sex-related crimes and a Hopkinsville woman charged with criminal abuse were among indictments returned by the Christian County Grand Jury Friday.

44-year old Larry Jason Stewart of Buffalo Road was indicted on twelve counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, distributing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, and sexual crimes against animals. The arrest report says the charges stem from an undercover online Internet Crimes Against Children investigation conducted by Kentucky State Police from January through September 25, 2019. The investigation determined Stewart had transmitted a child sexual exploitation image to another individual through his Twitter account. Upon further investigation into the account, police say they determined Stewart had assisted in sex crimes involving his dog and a woman, who is not identified in the arrest report.

When warrants were executed, police reportedly found numerous images of child sexual exploitation on Stewart’s cell phone. Police say Stewart admitted to having and transmitting the images of child sexual exploitation as well as assisting in the sex crimes involving his dog.

Stewart was arrested by state police September 25 at his place of employment in Hopkinsville and booked into the Christian County Jail.

The grand jury also indicted 39-year old Jeshia Denise Wills of Hopkinsville for first-degree criminal abuse. The charges stem from September 16 when Hopkinsville Police reported a three-year old girl was found trying to cross West Seventh Street near Sonic and a woman took the child to the sheriff’s office. After the child showed the officers she had been staying at a home on Buckley Street, police found Wills inside the home. Wills reportedly told police she was babysitting the child and told the girl she could play outside while she took a shower. Willis was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
