A Hopkinsville man was charged with DUI and his girlfriend was injured in a wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard at the Masonville underpass Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 37-year-old Leon Davie was northbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard when he swerved to miss a deer and hit the guardrail causing the vehicle to overturn coming to a rest on its top.
Davie and his passenger 22-year-old Ashley Vudin of Hopkinsville allegedly fled before police arrived and were later found at his home on Denzil Drive.
Davie reportedly admitted to drinking before the crash.
Vudin was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries and Davie was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
