HOPFAME Helping Area Residents Find Better Opportunities

The HOPFAME program is seeing growth since its inception a few years ago.

Hopkinsville Community College President Dr. Alissa Young says the program is an exciting opportunity for students around the region.

HOPFAME, which stands for Hopkinsville Kentucky Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education, has seen over 100 students.

Young adds the program is truly life-changing.

A majority of the students come to the program after they graduate high school, but Young notes anyone can take part in the unique opportunity.

The program works with sixteen factories in Hopkinsville, and additional factories in Clarksville, Tennessee and Cadiz, Guthrie, and Marion, Kentucky.

Young and other people who are responsible for making sure the HOPFAME program is successful shared information during the Tuesday meeting of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club.
