Man Charged With Using Counterfeit Money In Hopkinsville

A Hopkinsville man was charged with theft after he reportedly used counterfeit money to pay for items Thursday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Cortez Johnson used counterfeit money in exchange for property totaling $795 dollars.

Johnson also allegedly sold a gaming system that was reported stolen.

He is charged with receiving stolen property, three counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and four counts of theft.
