Hopkinsville Man Charged With Theft And Forgery

A Hopkinsville man that was arrested Sunday has been charged multiple times with forgery and theft Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Jason Godsey who was found with 34 counterfeit $20 bills and 3 counterfeit $10 bills along with a printer Sunday has now been charged with four counts of first-degree forgery and six counts of theft.

Godsey reportedly gave money to other people to use along with using it himself to pay for items he was buying.

He was also charged with receiving stolen property and two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
