Finley Urges Trigg County To Get Out And Vote

Tuesday is Election Day and Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley is hoping that voters will get out and place their votes.

Finley tells the News Edge there are no changes in polling places this year.

Finley adds there are important state races to vote on Tuesday.

Finley urges people who typically vote straight party to be very careful.

Finley adds they have ordered enough ballots to supply 35% of the voting population in the county.

Finley notes Tuesday would not go well without the poll workers.

A secure, electronic check-in will be available at all polling places. Finley adds the new way of checking-in allows poll workers to scan your ID and makes the process much easier.

Finley says if you received a letter saying you are an inactive voter you can still show up to your polling place and cast votes. For additional information, contact Finley at (270) 522-6661.
