The 10th annual WKDZ-WHVO Pink Out will feature a reflection on the past and glimpse into the future as the ribbon is cut to the D.J. Everett, III Radio Room.
The Trigg and Christian County Chambers of Commerce will join WKDZ-WHVO President Beth Mann and her staff for the ribbon-cutting to the new addition that is named in memory of former owner D.J. Everett, III.
Mann invites the community to help celebrate the opening.
The ribbon-cutting will kick off the 10th annual Pink Out celebration that serves as a time for awareness, celebration, remembrance, and support.
Mann says the Pink Out continues to be one of the largest events for WKDZ and WHVO.
There will be health care vendors, businesses, relay for life teams, and special speakers on hand. Trigg County High School Junior Arielle Evans will provide live entertainment following the opening ceremony. WKDZ’s Cindy Allen-Lax says it will be a time of celebration and excitement.
The pink ribbon will be cut to the new addition to kick-off the event at 3:00. The celebration continues until 5:00, with T-shirts available for a donation. Hancock’s Neighborhood Market will be selling pink cupcakes in honor of Pink Out with the proceeds donated to the fight against cancer.
All money raised will be divided between the Trigg and Christian County Relay for Life organizations. WKDZ/WHVO is located at 19 D.J. Everett Drive, off Interstate 24 at Exit 65 in Cadiz.
