A neighbors dog is being credited with helping get a 2-year-old home after the child was found walking next to a road in Trigg County Thursday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy David Tomlinson said a passerby on Cerulean Road stopped when a dog next to a 2-year-old child stepped into the road in front of her vehicle.
The driver called for deputies and they were reportedly able to locate the child’s home on Wesley Lane with the help of the dog, Dave that led them up to the home and the child.
The child’s father Josh Geiger was charged with second-degree wanton endangerment.
