Two Man Charged With Trafficking Drugs After Search Of Hopkinsville Home

Two Hopkinsville man were charged with trafficking drugs after police reportedly went to their home on North Vine Street searching for a wanted person Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 27-year-old Stephen Taylor became hostile towards police as they searched his home for a suspect and found drugs inside.

Police say they found 6 grams of cocaine along with marijuana and digital scales inside the home.

Police reportedly found marijuana and a handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition under the mattress of 38-year-old Jeffery Taylor who was charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

The wanted person was not located in the home but Stephen Taylor is charged with trafficking cocaine, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, and tampering with physical evidence.
