The Christian County Grand Jury indicted a man Friday for failure to comply with the sex offender registry.
The indictment says 40-year old James Edward Abell Jr. of Crofton failed to notify the Office of Probation and Parole in June of a change of address as he is required to do as a registered sex offender. Kentucky State Police report an investigation revealed he has not lived at his reported address in Crofton since approximately December 2018.
According to the Kentucky Sex Registry, Abell was previously convicted of third-degree rape against a teenager.
