Woman Charged After Hitting Person With Vehicle In Hopkinsville

A Tennessee woman was charged with assault and a man was charged with wanton endangerment after a fight on Colonette Drive Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 20-year-old Lanautica Smith hit Korbyn Newsome and Tervin Branch with her vehicle during a fight causing injuries to Newsome.

25-year-old Brian Macklin also allegedly used his vehicle in an attempt to hit Korbyn Newsome and Gabriel Newsome.

Korbyn Newsome was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with injuries.

Smith is charged with two counts of first-degree assault and Macklin is charged with four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
