The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is in urgent need of several blood types to help out the community.
Robbin Shively, Donor Recruiter for the center says they have dipped below a safe level for O Positive, O Negative, A Negative, and B Positive. She adds donors can stop by Tuesday to donate at 1902 South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Heritage Christian Academy will host a blood drive Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 until 6:00, participants must check into the front office. Additionally, the blood center will be open Thursday afternoon from 4:30 until 6:30.
Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is the sole provider of blood products and components to three Air Evac helicopters and six community hospitals; including Jennie Stuart Medical Center and Caldwell Medical Center.
