Bevin Announces Funding For Christian County Road Paving

Governor Matt Bevin stopped in Hopkinsville Monday morning to announce over $700,000 in discretionary road funding for Christian County.

Bevin says the City of Oak Grove will be receiving some money to improve Van Buren Avenue.

Bevin adds Christian County Fiscal Court will receive over $550,000 to help improve Pleasant View Acres Road, North Ridge Drive, Old Palestine Road, and Newton Lane.

He notes they use a project called the Shift Model to determine where the funding needs to go.

Bevin was joined by numerous local officials and leaders at the Hopkinsville Sportsplex to announce discretionary road funding. The stop was a part of three stops made in western Kentucky Monday.
