Lyon County Woman Charged With Multiple Counts Of Theft Of Identity

Kentucky State Police arrested a Lyon County woman Friday on multiple counts of theft of identity.

Public Affairs Officer Bryan Luckett reports an investigation was launched on Elizabeth Jane Rogers, who also used aliases of Jane or Janie Egbert, Elizabeth J. Egbert, Janie Rogers, and Elizabeth Jane Egbert-Roberts throughout the community. During the investigation, detectives learned Rogers had allegedly used her daughters’ and other relatives’ personal information to secure financial loans without their knowledge or consent.

Rogers also reportedly forged documents as she was operating the Smoke Shack in Eddyville.

Rogers is charged with six counts of theft of identity of another without consent and four counts of 1st-degree possession of a forged instrument and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

Detectives believe additional charges are forthcoming as the investigation continues.
