Golden Pond in Land Between the Lakes and Kentucky Lake are among Kentucky Living magazine’s 2019 “Best in Kentucky” winners. The magazine made the announcement at its awards show last Thursday at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville.
According to officials with the magazine, Golden Pond won third place in the Long Weekend Getaway Category, third place in the Camping category, and first place in the Public Hunting/Fishing Area category. Kentucky Lake won second place for Best Houseboating Lake.
This is the tenth year Kentucky Living readers have voted to choose the award winners, which in 2019 included first, second and third place winners in 25 categories, ranging from destinations and food to outdoor activities and beverages. “Best in Kentucky” appears in the September issue of the magazine and is sponsored by the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism Commission. Officials indicate Kentucky Living is the most widely circulated print publication in Kentucky.
