Firefighters from four departments were called to 3770 Russellville Road for smoke coming from the home Wednesday afternoon.
Radio traffic indicated the homeowner came home to find smoke coming from the home and called for firefighters.
Highland Fire Department Assistant Chief Doug Chilton said the fire started in the master bathroom and caused smoke and some fire damaged to the rest of the home.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause remains unknown.
