U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is recovering after undergoing surgery on his shoulder Friday.
McConnell’s Communications Director David Popp issued a statement Friday that said Senator McConnell’s surgery in Louisville to repair a fracture to his shoulder was successful. He added the surgery was performed without incident, and the Senator is grateful to the surgical team for their skill.
McConnell reportedly tripped on his outdoor patio at his Louisville home Sunday, August 4, one day after he attended the Fancy Farm Picnic in Graves County.
