The 7th annual Christian County Cattleman’s Association Lonestar Rodeo weekend kicked off Friday morning with the special needs rodeo for kids from Christian and Todd counties.
Co-chairman of the association Jason Jenkins tells the News Edge the event is a fun way for them to bring joy to the kids give back to the community.
He adds they had a great turnout for the event.

Jenkins says they appreciate the support of the community, as the main purpose of the rodeo is to raise money for scholarships.
Jenkins advises guests to arrive early for the main event of the rodeo, which kicks off Friday night at 7:30.
