Police have released more information about a wreck that injured a man on Country Club Lane at the intersection of Lafayette Road Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police Officer Michael Felts said the driver of the moped 20-year-old Jason Chilton of Hopkinsville was eastbound on Country Club Lane at the stoplight. a van driven by 54-year-old Joyce Taylor of Hopkinsville was westbound attempting to turn off Country Club Lane onto Lafayette Road, when the vehicle ran into the moped.
Chilton was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. He was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with severe leg injuries.
