A Brant Drive home was destroyed and two pets killed in a fire Tuesday night.
Roaring Springs Fire Department Chief Carl Ledford told the News Edge at the scene the fire is believed to have been caused by lightning.
No one was home at the time but two dogs were killed in the fire.
