UPDATE – High-Speed Pursuit Through Multiple States Ends In Tennessee

Police have released more information about a high-speed pursuit that started in Illinois and ended one mile into Tennessee on Interstate 24 Sunday morning.

Radio traffic indicates multiple agencies pursued the car from Illinois at over 100 miles per hour, crossing into Lyon, Caldwell, Trigg, and Christian Counties before coming to an end one mile into Tennessee.

Clarksville Police say 19-year-old James Pitts of Hickman County, Tennessee was able to flee after crashing the car into the woods at exit 1 in Clarksville.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were in the area for over an hour looking for Pitts who is described as a white male, 5 foot 7 inches tall with hazel eyes

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.

The car was reported stolen out of Missouri and had kittens inside that were not injured crash.
