Improvements could be coming to US Highway 79 in Todd County over the next few years.
Todd County Stand Publisher Ryan Craig tells the News Edge he’s been speaking with Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield about the roadway since Novelis, a large automotive aluminum company will be locating in Guthrie.
He adds other improvements include making turning easier for vehicles heading to Novelis.
Craig notes lots of wrecks have occurred on Highway 79 between Guthrie and Russellville and that the road needs to widened.
The project near Novelis is currently on the state’s six-year road plan and ranked as the sixth priority in the Pennyrile region.
