Christian County High-Speed Pursuit Ends In Crash

A high-speed pursuit that started on Pennyrile Parkway ended in crash on Madisonville Road Friday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chris Miller tells the News Edge at the scene they joined the pursuit around 3:00 after a motorcycle driven by 22-year-old Jack Kao of Fort Campbell fled from Kentucky State Police on Pennyrile Parkway and then veered off at exit 11.
He says the pursuit continued on several county roads and the motorcyclist hit a sheriff’s patrol vehicle. Kao continued to flee until he eventually crashed.
Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop Kao for speeding.
DeArmond was not injured in the crash. Kao was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to meet with a waiting helicopter to transport him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for leg injuries.
He is charged with first degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, speeding, and five counts of wanton endangerment.
