The son of a Lyon County woman recently graduated basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Joint Hometown News Service reports U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Steven Ingersoll completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Ingersoll also earned four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Rodney Ingersoll of San Jose, Illinois and Shirley Halsama of Eddyville, was a 2011 graduate of Illini Central High School in Mason City, IL and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2015 from Illinois State University, Normal, IL.
