A Hopkinsville woman attempted to break into a Thompson Street home after being served an emergency protective order telling her to leave Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 49-year-old Ramona Wilson-Erving tried to break into the home using a pipe causing injuries to her hands and leaving blood on the door.
She fled the area on foot before police arrived.
Wilson-Erving was found on Younglove Street later with blood on her hands and charged with second-degree burglary and violation of an emergency protective order.
