Interstate 24 Work Zones To Be Cleared For Holiday Week

Motorists traveling along Interstate 24 in Kentucky will get a break from road work this week.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd reports concrete repair work along the eastbound lanes in Caldwell, Lyon, and Trigg counties are expected to come down around noon Tuesday. This will allow for all lanes of the roadway to be open for the July 4th Holiday on Thursday and remain clear for the weekend.

He adds the current work zone runs from mile marker 54 to about the exit 65 interchange with US 68/KY 80 at Cadiz. After the holiday, the work zone will resume for Interstate 24 eastbound traffic between the 59 and 65-mile marker on Monday, July 8.

The target completion date for all concrete repair work along this section of Interstate 24 is Friday, August 2.
