UPDATE- Woman Injured, Man Charged After Hopkinsville wreck

Police have released more information about a wreck that injured a woman and led to charges for the driver of the car on Fort Campbell Boulevard Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 35-year-old John Foster was southbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard when he failed to stop at the stop light.

Foster hit an SUV driven by 39-year-old Deanna Howell of Hopkinsville who was crossing the Boulevard from Clinic Drive.

Foster got out of the car after the wreck and fled on foot before being picked up by another vehicle. A passerby followed the vehicle and let the police know Foster was dropped off on Lafayette Road.

Foster was arrested and during the arrest, he told officers he was a gangsta and was street and made threats that he would see the officers families later.

A passenger in Foster’s car 22-year-old Erica Pilot of Hopkinsville was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for knee injuries.

Foster is charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
