UPDATE-Names Released In I-24 Four-Vehicle Collision

Authorities have released the names of the individuals involved in a four-vehicle chain-reaction wreck on Interstate 24 in Trigg County Thursday night.

Trigg County Sheriff’s Major Jimmy Godair said all four vehicles were westbound about four miles west of exit 65 when traffic came to a stop due to a wreck in Caldwell County, which caused the collision.

19-year old Erica Bray of Clarksville was reportedly stopped in traffic when her vehicle was hit in the rear by a Kia driven by 37-year old Shanna Waelty of Clarksville, who had two passengers in her vehicle, including a 19-month old child. Waelty’s vehicle was rear-ended by a Toyota driven by 31-year old Hearther Prince of Nashville, whose vehicle was rear-ended by Schaumburg, Illinois police cruiser driven by 36-year old William Pierson of Alton, Illinois.

Major Godair says the infant in Waelty’s vehicle was transported by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital for treatment.
