Deputies have released more information about a wreck that injured three South Carolina residents on Interstate 24 Monday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say 33-year-old Michael Becker of Missouri was westbound in a tractor-trailer when he attempted to get off on exit 86.  The report says there was another tractor-trailer was in the way.  Becker swerved towards the median, causing his trailer to hit a van driven by 43-year-old Jimmy Eddins and an SUV driven by 46-year-old Kimberly Harrington of Missouri.

Eddins van then hit a tractor-trailer driven by 65-year-old Steven Hamilton of Tennessee. Eddins vehicle came to a stop in the median with Becker’s trailer laying on his van.

Eddins and two passengers in his van, 14-year-old Brent Eddins and 18-year-old Makenzie Eddins, were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies say a separate wreck happened at the same time one mile west of the initial accident scene.  A woman was taken to the hospital for a medical problem that was unrelated to the six-vehicle crash she was involved in.
